Prize Giving
Hey guys this post is going to be about my experience of the annual Saint Andrews College senior school prize giving. It was held in the O' Reilly Hall in UCD. It started at 20 past 7 but we had to be there for quarter to 7. It was the most boring 3 hours of my life. I was sitting in between Eimhin and Anya and I could have easily fallen asleep. At the start the Senior Chamber Choir sung our school's anthem and then our headmaster started talking. He said it was his birthday and I'm pretty sure I was asleep from then on. Then the choir sang again but this time a Les Miserables medley. The sound quality was below par but the singing was great. Then the prizes were awarded we were called up in groups of 5 and the provost of trinity college shook your hand and gave you a folder with a twenty euro eason's voucher. Then you sat down and waited until it was over. After that the provost talked and this is exactly what I heard "I was in trinity in the 1980's blah blah blah blah...." Then Fionn McGorry sang Home by Westlife and he was sensational he had a great voice which was very unique. Then my dreams came true and we were allowed leave the hall and go home. Finally. Au revoir mes Amis.

This week in Matthew World
Hi guys welcome to the very first "this week in Matthew world" a new segment in my blog. I will do this every Friday. On Monday I didn't go into school but I went to my first aid course in St. John Ambulance. This week we got to work in an ambulance. My friends there Robbie and James didn't go because Robbie was doing stuff for his brothers birthday and James because he was "Dying". The first thing we did was take out and put back in the ambulance trolley. It was FREEZING! What happened to our warm September weather? Then after that we brought all the stuff from the ambulance into the hall and we learnt how to make the bed go up and down and how to make it into a sitting position. Luckily I was used as an example and got to lie on the trolley for a while which I have to admit was very comfortable. I was a bit self conscious about my socks because they smelled quite bad an were pink. Then we just went through all the other stuff in the ambulance.
On Tuesday us transition years got to experience a great day in St. Vincents Hospital. It was a great few hours of lectures from different medicine related careers such as nursing, medicine, nutrition, pharmacy, occupational therapy, social work and physiotherapy. It was very interesting and the lecturers had very different personalities like the occupational therapist was very happy and the pharmacist was very boring. After school Cormac, Robbie and I went to the schools girls basketball teams match in Tallaght. Our school won 21 15 which was very low scoring. Our team got very emotional and aggressive near the end, except for louise who had an open basketball but apologised to a girl who had fallen over.
On Wednesday, I had film studies and we did a dialogue scene from the film Juno. We did the scene when Juno's going to get an abortion and she bumps into a girl from her school called Su Chin. Two girls from our group weren't there because Pelin had injured her ankle in the basketball match and Marsha had changed classes unofficially so I had to be Su Chin while Ruth was Juno. It was fun but I couldn't do my Asian accent because it sounded stupid. After school I had musical rehearsal which was fine I didn't really do much.
On Thursday, we had our last SPHE class with Mrs. Carter. In it coincidentally we watched Juno. We didn't get to see the end but we saw most of it. After school I had another musical rehearsal just for the guys. It was funny with Will and Tim. It was only 50 minutes long so I was able to take the dart home with Rhona and Cormac.
Today's Friday and not much has happened yet except for that the samples I ordered for my mini company arrived. So that's it from " this week in Matthew World".

Junior Cert Results Night
Hi guys. As most of you know yesterday was the day Transition Years were put out of their misery. The Junior Cert results were given out. In the morning I wasn't nervous I was just excited but by 12 I was getting nervous. The worst thing about it was in musicianship we watched YouTube videos and the last one we watched was One Directions new music video That's What Makes You Beautiful. The bad thing about this was that it was stuck in my head when I was receiving and opening my results. I did well but I'm not going to say what except it was all A's and B's. The thing about it is it doesn't matter if you beat your friends if you get what you were aiming for. The scenes around the school were very quiet. People were opening their results by themselves or with their friends. Afterwards my friends and I went to my friend James' house and then went bowling in Stillorgan. We played two full games and I won both. In the first game I got a strike and seven spares and in the second game I got three strikes. Then we went back to James' house. Pity I had to leave early because I had to go to another party in a girl called Marsha's house. This was less of a birthday party and more of a house party. There was a bit of dancing and it was great fun. It was a long party went from 7 to midnight. When I got home I felt really sick and couldnt sleep. I only slept 2 hours last night. Today was my older sister's birthday and we went to visit her in Fade Street. Then we went around town and we saw Ray D'arcy. We went into music maker and I played the drums downstairs. It seems that I may be getting a drum kit for Christmas. See you tomorrow guys. Bye
Film Studies Project
Hi guys. This post is going to be about my experiences in Film Studies. Yesterday we had our first actual filming film studies class. Our group which is now called Team Moore. There are 5 people in our group: Robbie, Marsha, Ruth, Pelin and myself. Our first film is about a girl (Marsha) who is late for school but there is a lot of twists and turns. I don't want to ruin the plot because I might post it when we finish editing it. One little teaser is you get to see Marsha fall flat on her face. Do you like halo? Then check out my friend Ben's blog http://halohotspot1.blogspot.com. Vote on my poll please and vote my post up on reddit the link is on my Page. Bye

Best TV show in Bel Air
Hi guys. I'm just posting to tell you guys about the best show ever. The Fresh Prince of Bel Air. Over the summer there was a double bill of it every morning and I was addicted straight off. Will Smith is the funniest actor in the world in this show. The show is about an african American living in west Philadelphia and then his mom sent him to Bel Air in Los Angeleles. This is a very rich and posh area and Will is from the "hood" as they call it. The show follows will and his uncle phil, aunt vivian, the butler Jeffrey and wills cousins carlton,Hillary and Ashley. It was broadcast back in the '80s and has a great theme song. Watch the video for it here http://m.youtube.com/index?desktop_uri=%2F&gl=IE#/watch?v=xg828g5uBZs
This show is Will Smiths first big part and he performs spectacularly. Everyone watch it NOWWWWW. The only reason I'm posting during school is because I'm sick. I won't give you all the details but believe me it's bad. It's unfair because I'm so sick that I can't go on a school trip to the Aran islands on Monday. It was going to be great fun. Random Fact of the day is there are 6 million parts to a boeng 747. Everyone look at my IT blog www.matchacha.blogger.com. Also everyone look at siobhanb.blogspot.com the best Irish youth blogger in Ireland. She won the award in the Irish Blog Awards. She has a great blog and she started it as a school project just like me.
See you later. Bye

My transition year ICT teacher got us to start a new blog and I liked the feeling so I made one that I can use for my own stuff. Check out my school blog www.matchacha.blogger.com. This post is going to be about me. I'm matt and I'm in transition year in St Andrews College. I Like Basketball and reading. I love my IPhone. I have two older sisters and one of them lives with us and one lives in an apartment in Dublin City.
I Love Basketball. I play for my school team and I founded my own basketball club with my friend called Glenageary Bounce. I also love watching basketball. My favourite team is the golden state warriors.
I think I'm smart but I could be completely wrong. We will just have to wait until the junior cert results come out to see won't we.
The first week of Transition Year has been great. I'm doing so many cool things like I get to make a film in film studies, I get to make a blog in ict and I get to start a business in enterprise.
